Edge's Product Integration Modules work with both enPortal and enGage.
Edge's out-of-the-box integration packages for a variety of industry-leading management offerings are the cornerstone of the integration capabilities offered through enPortal.
Edge PIMs provide built-in hooks from enPortal into individual third-party packages. PIMs enable enPortal to recognize user names, security specifics, and a wide variety of other variables already established within the third-party application - so the administrator can act on those variables through enPortal. PIMs also provide pre-built channels through enPortal so the data from the underlying application can be easily accessed through the enPortal dashboard.
Customizable Integrations
In addition to providing integration capabilities through PIMs, enPortal integrates data from any number of additional applications - including Perl scripts and internally developed applications - through its Content retrieval System (CRS).
Edge's patent-pending CRS facilitates the integration of additional content quickly and securely by letting customers organize application services, multi-media streams, and web-based utilities into any number of user views, without complex software development.
Dashboard View Integration
One of the challenges of successful integration is to bring together information from a wide variety of packages, and then to make different types of information available to different types of users - both internal and external. enPortal's Dashboard View Integration capabilities provide an at-a-glance view of user-centric service health with the ability to drill down for further details.
Specifically, the enPortal Dashboard View
- Transforms event data to service information
- Transforms component events to service impact
- Integrates data from service-oriented applications
- Provides simple visualization of information derived from disparate data sources
Using the enPortal Dashboard View Integration capability, customers can optimize the data they're already receiving by creating automated responses across multiple applications based on multiple types of alarms or alerts.
